Despite its compact size (just 50mm square), the SafeScanEZ dwarfs the
competition when it comes to the three factors that most impact safety light
curtain use: ease of installation, alignment and maintenance. And the
SafeScanEZ is UL/CUL listed and certified compliant with Safety Category 4 per
European Norms [EN954-1] and Harmonized Standards for Electro-Sensitive
Protective Equipment [IEC 61496-1 and -2]. REVOLUTIONARY NEW
PATENTED MOUNTING SYSTEM Every safety light curtain installation is
different, and mounting the devices often poses major challenges. But these
headaches are a thing of the past. With the SafeScanEZ bracket system, mounting
is easy, and the need to fabricate special brackets is eliminated.
Included with every SafeScanEZ are patented side-, rear- and
flush-mount brackets which slide easily into the channel on either side of the
light bar and can be positioned anywhere along its length. As many brackets as
needed can be used to provide secure support regardless of overall length, and
the brackets permit ± 8° rotation of the bar on its optical axis for
extremely accurate alignment. Once alignment is achieved, the SafeScanEZ
patented lock-down system virtually eliminates the need for further adjustment.
FAST, SIMPLE, SUPER-ACCURATE ALIGNMENT Aligning safety light
curtains used to be a frustrating process of trial and error. But no longer;
rather than a single LED indicator at the base of the unit, the SafeScanEZ has
evenly spaced indicators up and down the length of each bar. This provides
positive visual feedback to ensure precise alignment in seconds.
MAINTENANCE THE EZ WAY Even after they¹re installed
properly, safety light curtains can still be rendered inoperable if dirt or
debris obscures or damages their lenses. But the SafeScanEZ is protected by an
integral weld/debris shield that can be removed and replaced in less than a
minute. And the SafeScanEZ enclosure is extremely robust; it¹s extruded
from high-strength, lightweight aluminum and has an IP65 rating.
